Losing the toss and being invited to bat first in Ombersley, it was youngsters Isaac Mohammed and Rehaan Edavalath who opened the Rapids , but could only put on 23 for the first wicket, as Mohammed fell after a 21-run cameo.
The stand-out partnership however, was between Rob Jones and Henry Cullen, as the pair added 120 runs for the fourth wicket.
Cullen (79 off 44) continued to catch the eye, as the youngster powered the ball to the boundary from the outset, striking 13 boundaries in total during his innings.
Jones, carried his bat through for a well-measured 49 not-out, off 41 deliveries, as the Rapids ended their innings on a competitive 186-5.
In reply, the Rapids got off to the ideal start as youngster Harry Darley, made an early breakthrough, reducing Gloucestershire to 12-1.
Darley (2-24) returned the best figures for his side, as Tom Hinley, Fateh Singh and Yadvinder Singh all chipped in with a wicket apiece.
When Ed Middleton, became Darley’s second victim, Worcestershire had their opponents 96-5 in the 13th over, but failed to capitalise on their strong position.
A match-winning partnership of 94 for Gloucestershire’s fifth-wicket saw them home with one over to spare, leaving the Rapids fourth in their T20 Central Group, as they now prepare to face Northants on Monday.
