El-Fashir, June 3, 2025 (SUNA) - The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and UNICEF condemned, in a statement, the attack on the t humanitarian convoy in El-Kuma Locality, North Darfur, on Monday night. The attack resulted in the deaths of five convoy , the injury of others, the burning of several trucks, and the damage of vital humanitarian supplies. 1q5q1o
They stated that the convoy, consisting of (15) trucks, was attempting to reach children and families in the famine-affected city of El-Fashir to provide them with life-saving food and nutrition supplies.
WFP and UNICEF explained that this latest incident follows a series of attacks on humanitarian operations over the past two years, including last week's bombing of the WFP headquarters in El-Fashir, which devastated a workshop, an office building, and a clinic.
