"Highkey frying me" - Love Island USA fans criticize Ace for not picking Chelley, then trying to be with her

Ace is all the drama on Love Island USA season 7 right now. In the first recoupling of the season, the men were given a chance to pick their matches, and whoever was left without a partner was to be eliminated.

It was previously seen that Ace has a bond with islander Chelley and seems to like her. However, he was trying to be flirty and nonchalant, and even though she liked him, he did not pick her when the re-coupling was done.

Instead, Ace decided to pick Amaya, whom he had just met, and seemingly had very little connection. Chelley was then picked by Austin.

Now that this was out of the way, the next day rolls around, and Ace is seen treating Amaya rudely. He tells the boys that he is trying to get Chelley, however, because according to him, women love when you don't give them attention.

Austin, who is paired with Chelley, was not okay with this and tried to defend her partner by saying that she is not the "chasing type," and thus, won't go running after him.

Soon, Ace understood this dynamic as well, and throughout the Love Island USA episode, he was constantly trying to win Chelley over subtly, but his attempts were going south. Meanwhile, Amaya is feeling bad because she is not getting the attention from Ace and goes off on Chelley for trying to cross her.

However, Love Island USA fans are honest and clear and think one of them said,

"ace highkey frying me because all these words of affirmation towards chelley about yall connection and how great yall communicate but you didn’t pick her. LIKE I DONT GET IT. WHY DIDNT HE JUST PICK HA!?"

"i need Chelley to stand up….Ace had no real interest in you until he basically just realized she is his only chance of staying in the villa, Amaya and Huda don’t want him and he knows he’s going home next if he’s not picked," wrote a fan.

"i’m so irritated i was rooting for chelley and ace early on but i feel like it’s too late and it seems like ace is just tryna force a connection cus he know recoupling coming up n he cut it off w amaya," read a tweet.

"ace coupling up with amaya despite not liking that girl and wasting not only her time but chelley’s time. end this season," expressed a fan.

"Ace behavior really makes sense when u realize he went into the villa wanting all the girls to fight over and chase him. it’s why he won’t commit to Chelley, is being wishywashy with Amaya, and keeps trying to get in between jere and Huda," said another fan.

"ace is another level of jackass like why are u even here if ur not even willing to hold hands with the person YOU choose to couple up with??? but u were kissing ppl like five days ago??? like make it make sense bruh," read a tweet.

"i do NOT like the narrative ace is trying to paint against amaya i need his rawskin ass out of my mfin villa IMMEDIATELY," wrote an angry fan.

Love Island USA has a love quadrilateral, and it is between Austin, Chelley, Ace, and Amaya, and the only one responsible for it is Ace. He did not pick Chelley even though he liked her.

Then he picked Amaya even though he had zero interest in her as a human being, and started to treat her disrespectfully.

And now that Chelley, who was first interested in Ace and was trying to have a bond with him, is settled down with Austin and exploring this new connection with a man who is smitten by her, Ace is trying to come between them.

To top it all off, he also has his eyes on Love Island USA star Huda and is trying subtly to off hints to Jeremiah to explore other connections so that Huda could be single, and he could try his luck with her.
