Laxmi's Bakery on Hartz Avenue is a family-owned bakery from renowned Chef Laxmi Budhathoki.

DANVILLE, CA — Danville is quietly becoming one of the East Bay's bakery capitals. January 2024 saw the opening of next-level chocolate chip cookies."
That list has expanded with Laxmi's Bakery, a new husband and wife-owned bakery at 221 Hartz Avenue. The new bakery is owned by Chef Laxmi Budhathoki, who brings 18 years of experience as a pastry chef, including experience at the San Francisco Marriott St. Regis and the Claremont Hotel & Spa in Berkeley.
The bakery offers imaginative twists of bakery staples, like croissants in raspberry, pistachio, and almond flavors. It also offers tiramisu, blueberry cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies, lemon and fruit tarts, and a variety of cakes, including tiramisu, strawberry shortcake, chocolate fudge, and tres leche.

Visitors can also enjoy a variety of ice cream, sorbet, a full banana split, and an ice cream sundae.
Savory options include a bagel with cream cheese and lox, a croissant sandwich of cheddar cheese and eggs, and homemade focaccia with pesto and burrata.

Like any good bakery, Laxmi's offers a full coffee menu, including plain coffee, americano, caffe mocha, cappuccino, macchiato latte, hot chocolate, espresso, and more. Chai tai latte and flavored teas are also available.
