Paducah Chiefs shortstop Brett Haas comes down with a pop-up during the Chiefs’ 12-1 loss to the Hoptown Hoppers on Tuesday night.
Tuesday night at Brooks Stadium would be one to forget for the Paducah Chiefs, as they suffered a 12-1 defeat at the hands of the Hoptown Hoppers.
The Chiefs would fall behind the eight ball early on, with the Hoppers blowing the game wide open in a big first inning. Hoptown would jump all over starter Alex Calhoun, chasing the right-hander after just two thirds of an inning of work; in that stretch, three hits, three errors and three walks would bring in seven runs for the Hoppers. Bradley Zeki would take over to close out the inning, with one more run coming across to make it 8-0 through the middle of the first.
