Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Wednesday at 10:25AM

Agro Phos India Ltd.(up 4.24%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 2.90%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.39%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 1.25%) and Rama Phosphates Ltd.(up 1.20%) were among the top gainers.

Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 2.34%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 2.32%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(down 0.67%) and Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.57%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 40.75 points up at 25145.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 103.06 points at 82494.78 at around 10:25AM.

Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.25%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.82%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.34%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.61%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.42%) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.39%) were trading in the red.
