Olympic Silver medalist Kishane Thompson says he is all fired up and ready to compete at the Racers Grand Prix to be staged at the National Stadium on Saturday night. 

Thompson in his first global appearance in 2025 was a second place finisher at the Shanghai Diamond League meet in the Men’s 100 meters on May 3, clocking 9.99 seconds behind South African speedster Akani Simbine who won in 9.98 seconds. 

The MVP Track Club sprinter is listed to face former national champion Rohan Watson, along with South Africa’s Bayanda Walaza in the men’s 100 meters championship race which will be the closing event on the programme at 9:40 pm on Saturday.

The Women’s equivalent will be contested just before at 9:30 feature Tia Clayton, and her twin sister Tina, along with Alana Reid, Kemba Nelson and the US Pair of Jacious Sears and Mikiah Brisco . 

Meanwhile, the meet gets underway at 7:15 pm with the Women’s Triple Jump Final.
