THURSDAY, June 5: Matt Koelsch sings at the Levitate Backyard in Marshfield  

The indie-folk/rock sextet The Head and the Heart takes over MGM Music Hall in Boston. Australian rocker Betty Who heats up Royale in Boston. Matt Koelsch sings at the Levitate Backyard in Marshfield. Piano player Gary Negbaur and his Crimson Cats sextet get the RegattaBar in Harvard Square jumping.

FRIDAY, June 5: A night of songs and storytelling at the Spire Center in Plymouth

Total Strangers and The Fey Family combine for a night of songs and storytelling at the Spire Center in Plymouth. There's a four-band rock benefit for the Hull High School music programs at The C Note in Hull, topped by the wonderfully named Dirty Water Boulevard.  Zak Jacobson brings his 11-piece group to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke to deliver Rolling Stones music like you've never heard it before. The reggae/funk of Coyote Island gets Levitate Backyard in Marshfield moving. Laurie MacAllister – from the group Red Molly – brings her solo show to the Fallout Shelter in Norwood. Jack's Mannequin rocks Roadrunner in Allston. Folkie duo Dope Lemon arrives at Royale in Boston. New Orleans keyboard master Papa Gros and his band light up the Narrows Center in Fall River. Pop duo Sleigh Bells gets down at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston. The Houston pop singer known as Snow Wife makes her Brighton Music Hall debut. Svetlana and the Boston Collective heat up The RegattaBar in Cambridge.

SATURDAY, June 7:  Disco Dream plays The C Note in Hull

Texas-bred blues/soul/rocker Phoneboy at Brighton Music Hall. The French electronic music duo Justice performs on The Stage at Suffolk Downs. Smino raps at Roadrunner in Boston. Guitarist Dave Stryker and his quartet at Scullers Jazz Club in Boston.

SUNDAY, June 8: Gavin DeGraw opens the season at the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset 

Don't forget the 4-8 p.m. blues jam at Players in Rockland, hosted by the Michele Rockwell Band. Pop/rock star Gavin DeGraw opens the season at the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset. The Sixties Show – celebrating all kinds of music from those halcyon days – at Memorial Hall in Plymouth. Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke welcomes Ohio's Quasi Kings for some reggae, with local boys Buddahfly opening. Mary McAvoy sings at the Levitate Backyard in Marshfield. Eem Triplin raps at The Paradise Rock Club in Boston.
